Sixty years ago - long before the rise of the Sanin, the onslaught of the Kyūbi or the destruction of Konoha at the hands of Pain - the Shinobi world was a tumultuous place; constant warring between the great nations killed thousands, and with the recent pacification of mercenary, Ninja clans into a system of Hidden Villages, the numbers were getting worse. Of these great, Shinobi factions that had sworn permanent allegiance to individual powers, none was greater than the combined presence of Senju and Uchiha, and no, individual country was greater than Hi no Kuni.
But their dominance came not without cost. Despite Konoha's insistence that the five nations come to an amicable peace, the people and governments of the other powers would not stand for a world of flimsy neutrality as long as Hi no Kuni remained the superior, military force; thus, war continued, as it would for years to come. Yet the leader of the Senju, later known as the First Hokage, would not allow such senseless destruction to continue unfettered; in an attempt to balance power and foster alliances with the other lands, he began to offer his greatest asset: The many Bijū under his influence.
This tactic worked for a time, and the number of larger skirmishes between nations reduced significantly, as did the death count; and so were born the Secret, World Wars. As Konoha suffered from internal strife caused by the Uchiha leader's dissatisfaction with his clan's subjugation, a coalition of Hi no Kuni's enemies and rivals rose up to crush them, consisting mainly of Iwagakure and Kirigakure forces. The Shinobi world was torn apart again by the onset of this first, secret war, and continued long after Uchiha Madara was expelled from the very village he helped found. Little did they know, it is not wise to anger an immortal...
And so your story begins, in a world torn apart by war and strife. The time is fifty years before the start of the series; a time wracked with civil conflict and fear; no one is safe, not even in their village or home. The great nations each have their own aim, and each strives to claim ultimate power through deception, murder and the Tailed Beasts; however, it is not for our prior knowledge do decide the outcome of this battle. As you adventure though the Naruverse, you may shape your own destiny, and even change the course of the current story line... Let nothing stand in your way to the top.
