Rosalin flitted around the bar impatiently. She was normally patient, but Genji was late, something she wasn't used to. She was sure he had his reasons and she wouldn't be upset but she didn't want to start ordering things before he arrived.
Rosalin and Genji often came to this place, whenever they had free time. To get away from all the formalities of the garden and just be themselves. To relax and laugh and have fun. Today was no different, other than the fact that Genji hadn't arrived on time.
The owner was quite familiar with the two meeting here, as were most of the regular patrons. Rosalin had been here for over half an hour, alone. Without any further hesitation, the owner handed a drink to a customer who ordered it and called out to the small fairy.
"Hey Rosalin, what's up? You seem troubled. Don't worry so much. He will be here soon. You sure you don't want something to drink?" he asked her, hoping to calm the small woman down.
Rosalin stopped mid-flight and began to flutter in place as the familiar voice spoke.
"Hmm? No thanks. I'm alright. Thank you though. I'm sorry, I'll go take a seat at the usual table. Sorry for 'pacing' around like that." Rosalin said before flying slowly over to an empty table she and Genji often sat at when they spent time here.
Rosalin took a seat on the top of the table, being too small for the chairs. She sat down with her knees bent in front of her and her arms wrapped around them. She sat their sadly, and sick of waiting. She was oblivious to the people coming and going from the small bar/diner and hadn't realized that the owner greeted someone who entered that he hadn't seen before.

The woman who had just walked in gave the faintest sign of a smile and nodded at the keeper of the bar to aknowledge his greeting, though afterwards she seemed to mind his presence, as well as everyone else's, rather little as she walked over to an empty table.
Her broad white clothes, which also partially covered her face, did not hide her thin complexion, her skin tight against her bones. Her moves were delicate, graceful and slow. And even though she did not perform much of a ritual to pull out and sit on a chair, her soft moves made it look like she was taking the most care of that item.
When she was asked what she wanted, and told that people had to uncover their faces in the bar, she appologized first, and proceeded to ask a bottle of fresh water to sooth her thirst after a long walk. "I beg you pardon me for my manners. This hood has been of great use to escape the merciless rays of the Sun." She spoke gently, with a soft but somewhat hoarse, deep and tired voice. "May I ask a bottle of cold water for this tired traveler?"
Her face was beautiful, but unhealthily thin and pale, without a single wrinkle, but with dark rings under her eyes that contrasted highly with her fair skin. Her thin hair seemed to literally float, as if it was made of clouds instead of queratine. And after her request, her eyes stayed fixed on the table, as if concentrating only in the materials it was made of, suddenly looking absolutely absent from the physical world.

Genji was hustling into the bar, he was late, and Rosalin was known to get a bit agitated with Genji for such trivial things, but then again, to Genji time was nothing, so such a miniscule amount of time passing he wouldn't even notice. What one would percieve as a lifetime Genji knew simply as a single stage of a persons life, as if he was simply a child aging to a teenager.
However, Genji didn't want to incur the wrath of the small fairy, the thing that probably scared Genji more than a monster at this point in his life.
He looked around the bar room, his gaze fluttering between the usuall customers and the passerbys. One stole his attention for a moment. A very pale lady who sat down with a hood, pulled down. His gaze soon moved passed her to the tiny fairy waiting for him.
He rushed over. "Sorry Rosi (pronounced roz e), I got held up with some students at the training area." he said as he slide down across from her.
"You haven't ordered yet have you?"

Rosalin looked up as she noticed Genji approach. Her expression went from somber to angry as she looked up at him. It didn't last long though. She couldn't stay mad at him. Especially when he had an honest excuse, which he did. She could tell he wasn't lying when he spoke.
"I know. I had heard about those flyers you handed to some of the students for some special training." she said then paused as he spoke again. "No I haven't ordered yet. I was waiting for you. You can ask the owner if you don't believe me." she replied with confidence.

"Well, what should we get today then Rosi? " he asked as he placed his elbows on the table, the crowds bustling across the room as people moved through the bar to tables or stools, and in or out the doors.
The atmosphere was joyous and boisterous like it usually was, here. Thats why Genji and Rosaline came here. It was a place where they could just enjoy each others company without anyones to bother them with school affairs.

The pale woman's stare remained fixed on the table at all times, minding nothing but her own thoughts, quietly like an experienced monk in a full trance. But while she did not seem to mind in the least stares or words, sounds or scents, her eyes, while somehow dead, dull, looked focused enough to make one think she was actually thinking about something of particular importance.
Only a small smile crossed her face when the waiter placed a bottle of cool water on her table, by the side of her arms, as, with her weak, quiet voice, she muttered a, "Thank you very much." But from the beginning and as time passed, the bottle remained untouched, right by her side.
It took some time, as the fairy waited for a man who would not appear, and people came and left, until after that newcomer appologized to the small woman, before Sennya, the extremely pale and thin lady, decided to stand up, with that bottle of water still absolutely untouched, with the cap still unremoved. Yet, two coins were placed on the table: the exact amount of that brand new, virgin bottle of water.
The blue-skinned stranger caught her attention for a few seconds. For a moment, she believed he was, as he would always tell everybody, under the effects of some sort of disease. Unable to extract an answer from a simple glance, and not willing to become rude and ask, even though she would be very willing to help in the case it was some sort of problem, she deduced he was probably a member of a race of humanoids he did not know or had not heard about yet.
With such a conclusion, her light hood was again placed over her head, in an apparently vain attempt to protect her fair skin from the sun. As she left, she was asked by the surprised waiter if she would not take that bottle for which she had actually paid with her. She only thanked him for his kindness politely, but expressed that it did not matter.
While clearly upset that someone would use his stablishment only as a place to rest without even consumming anything, he could not help feeling guilty for receiving gain from a product he had not truly offered. But regardless, as he complained and walked to the table, reaching for those coins only to offer them back to that eccentric woman, the lady had already made her way out of the place silently.

"I have no idea. I probably had an idea when I got here but have long since forgotten what it was, if I even had it. Either way, it doesn't matter much to me. I don't feel like thinking about it much right now anyways. I'll just have whatever." she said.
She didn't say it but even though her mood seemed to change completely since he finally arrived, Rosalin still had part of her mind dwelling on thoughts she didn't feel like voicing.
"So yeah you just decide for me. Anything will be fine. I'm here to relax not make decisions." she said with a smile.

"Well, let us get the usuals then." he said with a smile as he waved over a waitress. The young women looked to be in her mid twenties, a cutie too. Genji was certain that some of the patrons here come just for her. As if to make this even more evident a couple of drunks sent cat calls after her as she walked by their tables.
The young lady smiled at Genji and Rosalin, she was used to their patronage by now. "Hey huns!' she said cheerfully. "What can I get you today?"
Genji smiled politely back. "The usual's for us Bethany." he said merrily to the lady. He looked at her black hair, it hung down the back in a braid and swung back and forth quite delicately.
"Okay, ill go grab you drunks, be back in a moment sweetie." she winked to Gernji and walked off.
"So Rosi, how was your day?" he asked turning his attention back to the fairy.

Rosalin watched with a smile as a waitress they had many times before came over and Genji gave her their order. She had to try hard not to giggle with the friendly way the waitress spoke to them. Perhaps they came here a bit too often? Rosalin chuckled internally at her thought.
"My day? It was pretty uneventful. Most of my students have learned to behave or gotten transfers to other divisions, so I mostly just have students left who are excited or at least willing to pay attention and learn. It was a very boring day though. The lesson wasn't on any of the more interesting aspects of magic so I felt like a textbook. Outside of teaching, things seemed pretty dull overall at Garden today. I pretty much just wandered doing nothing when I wasn't teaching, until I came here that is." Rosalin explained to her dear friend.
"How about you Genji? How was your day? I heard you were pretty busy." she asked.
