Personality: Rosalin is a relatively quiet and reserved individual. She is intelligent and thoughtful. Wise with her age. While she doesn't usually start conversations she will give advice to people and if a person starts a conversation with her she won't actively avoid speaking. She is very kind and caring, especially to her students. She loves to read and practice her magic abilities, which she is quite skilled in and prides herself in her mastery of them.
She has a fear of being sat on or swatted like a bug. That, losing Genji, and losing her students are her biggest fears.
Rosalin loves to learn and if she meets someone who is more intelligent than herself or as intelligent (maybe even less), she will try to learn as much as possible from them to better herself and her understanding of things. While, other than from Genji, Rosalin doesn't usually ask for help with anything she doesn't turn down help when offered and appreciates kind gestures like that.
One thing she doesn't like is when people think perverted things about her, mostly because she can feel their emotions and know what they are thinking and it scares her. If they tried anything it would probably kill her and even if she was interested it doesn't matter. This has lead to her to have a heavy heart, for she is afraid she may not ever be able to share a form of intimate love with a special person since most people are far too large for her physiology. She hides this sadness well; even Genji seems to have never noticed it.

1) Power to mildly affect the emotions of those around her. She uses this to help keep the moral of her students up.
2) She is also empathic; she can usually know how a person feels by looking at them even if they physically show no signs of something being wrong.
3) While she can't heal wounds, she can use her fairy powers to help relieve symptoms of sicknesses and even cure weaker viruses and the like. She also can put people to sleep with fairy dust.

History: Rosalin was born to a small but talented and respected family of fairies on a small island not far from Goblin Island. They named her Rosalin after her hair, which was the color of a rose. As a child Rosalin learned quickly, even for a fairy. She found at a very young age that she had a natural talent for magic and was sent to a magic specialist friend of the family for some tutoring to help her learn to control her powers. This is where she learned, with help from her tutor, that she possesed an affinity for attack magic. Her tutor taught her to use her magic powers to her advantage; to help her learn how to fly and, eventually, fly higher and farther and faster than a fairy without the help of this magical power boosting her flight capabilities.
As Rosalin grew up she studied alot and read many books. She learned alot about the world and the races of the land as well as about the other magic she couldn't use herself. All of these things fascinated her so much that eventually, with her parents blessing, she went out into the world to see things for herself. She traveled to many places and learned many things. She found books she couldn't ever have found at home and continued to learn more and more. Not all times were happy though. As on her travels Rosalin learned of something she had read about but never witnessed back home; war. She saw friends and family killing each other. People of the same race fighting senselessly over trivial matters. It was shortly thereafter that Rosalin learned of a place where people from all over could gather to learn how to protect themselves and the ones they cared about as well as each other; a place where they could learn to make a difference.
Rosalin traveled to this place while it was being remodeled. She made her home in a tree not too far away and watched as the building took shape. When the building was finally done and they were accepting new members Rosalin was quick to respond. She was one of the first members of the remodeled Balamb Garden and learned a great deal about the place's ideals and about other races that attended. She was glad to be able to see and interact with people from all around the world in a friendly, peaceful setting. Rosalin's favorite hangout at the garden was, not suprisingly, their vast library. She read many books and continued to learn more and more.
But that was years ago. Nowadays she is a teacher at the school. She still goes on missions and is effectively the leader of of any team involved in magical matters. She has learned how to use her magic very effectively and teaches new students who are talented in magic to be effective members of Balamb Garden. She can often be seen in her spare time hanging out with Genji Akira, another teacher and one of the older members of the school. The two are good friends and often exchange lesson plans with each other so the other can evaluate them. Being on teams with opposite strengths, them being friends and basically in charge of their teams, leads these two teams to work devastatingly well together.
Limit Break: Who you calling short?: Rosalin concentrates all the magical energies inside of her being, and in the air around her and grows, proportionally, to roughly 5 feet 2 inches tall. Rosalin then focuses the drawn upon magic into her limbs and proceeds to viciously beat the crap out of her target. This ends with her punching them in the face sending them flying backwards, parallel to the ground. She rushes after them and pummels them up and down while they continue to fly in the original direction. When the target lands, she stands above them and takes all the magical energy she has left and focuses it into her left hand and fires a super charged version of any one damaging spell she knows of her choice. This leaves her exhausted and back to her normal size after the spell is cast with no remaining MP for spellcasting. Note: This can be used for other....less violent purposes too. The description above is just the offense version.
