SOMEONE said "let there be life"
. . . and then there was . . .
They've all forgotten how it was in the beginning.
The Flyers gave up their wings and fell in love with Man,
The Beasts gave up their posts and waged War over land,
Even Sirens behave as though detached from their stations.

A tourist town on the South coast of England with a booming entertainment and arts industry, growing larger every day to the point where, these days, it's hard for even the residents not to think of it as more of a city. London isn't more than a train journey away, though there's more than enough to occupy you in the town itself; not to mention the surrounding areas and the ferry tours in the Summer. It's a little harder to make room for yourself but the competition is healthy and Bournemouth economy is certainly benefiting from it.
However, the struggles and strains of power do not exist solely amidst the human politicos and business moguls.
Tensions between the Sentinel races, {akin, in their own ways, to the Psychics, Lycans and Vampires of the silver screen} have become decreasingly hidden. Eons old squabbles aren't allowed to remain just inherited pettiness thanks to brawls, interference and even Murders. Further still, some of the 'Sentinel' races - disinterested in, and unaffected by the inter species rivalries -have taken it upon themselves to draw the attention of civilians and the media. Recent events have proven, indisputably, just how far the preternatural races have fallen from their original stations, no longer concerning themselves with the preservation of the planet, becoming absorbed in their own lives, desires and ambitions.
L.T.B.L. was born out of a need for a change, to breath a bit of originality into that tired old script of one supernatural species versus the other. There' s a mixture of elemental and horror fantasy, the human factor and a touch of emotional realism.
The story of origins is the set up and the intention is for the plot to be ever twisting and changing to keep things fresh. Member input is a definite must and with an expansive canon list there is room for everyone to get involved.
